Salam jumpa lagi...

to the point saja,
Latar belakang:
database: FB 2.1
IDE :Laz 0.9.26/FPC 2.2 (sebenarnya gak ngaruh)

Sebenarnya pertanyaan ini lebih kepada syntax PSQL, bukan syntax Delphi/Laz. Tapi setelah Googling, dan tidak menemukan forum khusus FB.id akhirnya saya NUMPANG nanya di forum delphi.id dengan anggapan para delphi-er familiar dengan FB.

Saya mempunyai sebuah table (Table A) dengan field BLOB(subtype 0). Saya ingin membuat sebuah trigger untuk menangani "before delete", yang gunanya untuk menyimpan record yang didelete ke table temporary.

Pertanyaan #1
Bagaimana perintah insert untuk table yang mempunyai BLOB-field?

Setelah googling, hanya informasi ini yang mampu dicerna kepala botak saya:
Bahwa table dengan BLOB-field (mis Table A diatas) hanya berisi pointer yang merujuk ke table lain (Table X) yang khusus yang berisi BLOB sebenarnya.

Pertanyaan #2
Bisakah kita mengubah Table X diatas? Klo bisa, how???

loh .. ga ada yg jawab nih ? pada belom pernah kalee boss !
emangnya ga bisa yah kalo di buat langsung ? misalnya :
insert into tablelain(blobfieldname) values(Old.FieldpakeBlob)
atau di declare variable dengan type blob yg sama kemudian variablenya di isi dengan
varblobname = old.FieldpakeBlob;

insert into tablelain(blobfieldname) values(varblobname)

Masalahnya ternyata tidak serumit yang saya pikir sebelumnya, cuma kurang menempatkan tanda ":" (titik dua)

DECLARE VARIABLE varblob BLOB;
.
.
.
insert into tablelain(blobfield) values (:varblob)
